Wedding at St Martha's Church, Guildford

Wedding at St Martha’s Church, Guildford; I first met Rebecca and Andre at GLive wedding fayre back in October last year and then when we met up in March this year, I knew I would love taking their wedding photographs. Knowing Rebecca and Andre had a budget to work towards, I came up with a deal that meant that they got the photographs that they wanted; Rebecca was so pleased she got quite emotional. I had a feeling that the wedding was going to be quite emotional too.

Rebecca got ready at the Percy Arms where the wedding reception was to take place. The room where Rebecca she got ready in had perfect lighting conditions which enabled me to get some natural photographs using natural light. I loved Rebecca’s dress and definitely suited the style of her wedding.  An amazing wedding dress by Kenneth Winston supplied by Wedding Frox bridal shop in Cranleigh, Surrey.  Rebecca’s flowers looked amazing – such beautiful colours. Claire from Miss Mollie’s Flowers did such an amazing job and loved the finishing touches.  I loved Rebecca’s jewellery supplied by Mia Elizabeth Bridal Jewellery which complemented Rebecca’s choice of tiara from Daisy Day tiaras.   Claire from Evolution hair salon Southend on Sea did an amazing job of Rebecca’s hair – the perfect bridal hair and beautiful makeup by Chantelle.

Rebecca and Andre’s wedding ceremony took place at St Martha’s Church, Guildford – a beautiful church with amazing views of the Surrey countryside.  The weather was beautiful and made such a difference.  The ceremony was taken by their family friend Tom and it made it such a beautiful ceremony.  The wedding reception was held at the Percy Arms in Chilworth, near Guildford and the perfect venue for a South African twist to Rebecca and Andre’s wedding with a hint of  protaras South African flowers and a delicious South African wedding breakfast menu.  I loved capturing the wedding speeches; as expected the speeches brought tears of laughter as well as tears of sadness.

I was fortunate enough to be able to capture some amazing bride and groom photographs both at St Martha’s as well as at the Percy Arms.  I absolutely love the bride and groom photographs and they have definitely captured the close relationship between Andre and Rebecca.

Andre and Rebecca had rehearsed a little first dance which was amazing.   This helps definitely get the party started with the traditional barn-dance style of dancing.  A perfect end to photographing an amazing wedding.
